When photographer heads for establishing his own tale, also establishes a unique World. So did I and started from my own home and village to my journey. I continue to tell by knowing and thinking to photograph what and how. There is a touch, a glance, a trace of myself in every photography frame I shot. Such as Fellini said “I always directed the same film”, in fact I always shot the same photograph.
Photography is also a technical event. However, I think that technical part is not so important. Beyond the technique, photograph must say something and must have a meaning and a soul, of course, taking the aesthetic concerns into consideration.
I am trying to witness through a photographic language by filtering the experiences, time-place- human relationship by filtering from light with the social culture I came from. As someone who adopts documentary work, I prefer to express this way. As a person from analogous working period, I perform seized by the magic of black and white photography which I find more real. Hoping to lighten the darkness, I am shuttering to find light, more light each time.
I find photograph more natural and brave compared to other disciplines. Photograph stands in front of you with all the nudity, says I am myself. Among all these chaos, pollution and pain; Photograph must tell something new, must be pure and clear and should remind the past, witness the era, rather should point the people what is going on, and it should keep the mirror in the face of man and say what you have done with yourself.
